Good game by the Canes yesterday in the beautiful Spring weather. A little warm out there but the girls adjusted and played hard most of the game. Again, there was a drop off at the beginning of the 2nd half - some standing, slow jogging, watching the play, not getting after the ball quick enough. Berlin had some good footwork up front and made some nice crossing passes into the middle. We were bunched, following the ball, not staying in position. But, our defense held, we got some good thru-passes and scoring opportunities. It was great to see multiple players get involved in the scoring! The girls figured out the indirect kick in the box all on their own (Tallulah to Janine)....that's some heads up play. Nice job girls! One game left and we're 1 game over 500, sitting in 3rd place. Pretty good season for the Canes.
Check out the standings. Looks like Robbinsville has gone on a 5-win streak and has taken over first place. Wow.
